- 16-18 months.
Special Issues
The IIJ is currently not seeking any special issue proposals.
Submission Rules
By submitting an article to the IIJ, authors agree to the following:
- Authors grant the IIJ exclusive right of first publication.
- Authors agree to accept and abide by the IIJ Ethics Code.
- Authors grant the IIJ the right to publish their article under the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND License (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives).
Submission Language
The primary language of the Internetworking Indonesia Journal (IIJ) is English due to its international readership. Note that the IIJ does not accept requests for the translation of submitted manuscripts.

All papers submitted to the IIJ will undergo Single Blind review.
IIJ Ethics Code
Please review the IIJ Ethics Code and Malpractice Statement before submitting your paper to the IIJ.
Types of papers
Please review the descriptions below and identify the submission type best suited to your intended submission.
- Research Paper: Research papers report on results emanating from research projects, both theoretical and practical in nature.
- Short Research Paper: Short research papers provide an introduction to new developments or report on advances regarding on-going research work.
- Policy Viewpoint: Policy Viewpoints explore competing perspectives in the policy debate that are informed by academic research.
Manuscript Submission Guidelines
- Use the IIJ Template document: Papers should be submitted using the IIJ Template document for MS-Word (see below).
- IEEE Style (2-Columns): Manuscripts should be submitted according to the IEEE Guide for authors, and will be refereed in the standard way.
- 7-pages maximum: Manuscript pages should not exceed 7 pages of the IEEE 2-column format.
- Paper must never previously published in a journal: Manuscripts submitted to the IIJ must not have been previously published or committed to another publisher under a copyright transfer agreement, and must not be under consideration by another journal.
- Conference papers must be revised: Papers previously published at conferences can be submitted to the IIJ, but must be revised so that it has significant differences from the conference version.
- Authors are responsible for Camera Ready Copies: Authors of accepted papers are responsible for the Camera Ready Copy formatted using the same IIJ Template format.
- No revision allowed after final paper acceptance: Authors are advised that no revisions of the manuscript can be made after acceptance by the Editor for publication. The benefits of this procedure are many, with speed and accuracy being the most obvious.
